Over 30 years ago, the congregation at Ascension decided that they had to find a way to reach out to the community with the love of Jesus, especially to families with young children.  Thus, the Child Development Center (CDC) was born.

Recently, the congregation added an administrator with years of experience in directing Lutheran preschools, therefore, the name of the school became Ascension Lutheran Preschool & Child Development Center.

The school today provides child care for infants, toddlers, and professional education for preschoolers.  Areas of focus are on the cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development of young children, all within a strong spiritual environment.

The reputation of the school is very strong…many of our parents tell us they attended the school years ago and, many other parents tell us they heard about the school from the parents of current students.

The primary goal is to share the love of Jesus with young children, and their families. It is impossible to tell how many children the school has touched with His love over the years.
