Ascension Lutheran is a congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. We teach Jesus Christ, true man, yet true God, Son of the Father. He came down to earth to take our punishment, suffered death on the cross, rose again, and has ascended into Heaven, to come again on that final day to call all believers to be with Him for all eternity.
We gather weekly as a congregation to worship, learn, confess our sins, receive His forgiveness, and to strengthen our faith, with the blessing of the Holy Spirit.
Our congregation comes from all over the greater Huntsville area ... Madison, Hampton Cove, New Market, Hazel Green, and Huntsville itself. You might say we are a 'destination' congregation. Ascension has a wide range of members from all walks of life, all eager to share together in their worship of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ascension is also the home of the Ascension Lutheran Preschool and Child Development Center. This educational and care center continues to grow in service to the community and in it's professional development of programs for nurturing young children while sharing knowledge and the love of Jesus with young children and their families.
